The Cartridge
Each well of the Sample Prep Cartridge is an independent electrophoretic device with its own electrode and polyacrylamide gel. You only need about 10 μL of your biological sample. After loading your samples, you're pretty much done.

The Station
Loaded cartridges go into the Passport 1200 Sample Prep Station for depletion, fractionation, concentration, and desalting. Low molecular weight peptide preparation programs take about one hour.

The Capture Slide
Depleted, fractionated, desalted, concentrated samples migrate onto the high-affinity 96-spot capture slide. After a final rinse, you can deposit crystallization matrix right on the spots for MALDI-MS, or extract your clean samples for higher resolution processing such as LC/LC-MS.

● Disrupts cell membranes. PPS Silent Surfactant is an aggressive detergent that disrupts cell membranes, solubilizes hydrophobic proteins.
● Improves enzymatic digestion
● Cleaves readily at low pH. PPS Silent Surfactant is readily hydrolyzed at low pH into easily removed, soluble by-products with no residual detergent properties.
